We have been working closely with the SPCA (KK) since IAPWA was established and are proud to be their international partner for our Sabah Project. The charity are making great progress for companion animals and by linking together we are now in a strong position to make history throughout the country for dogs and cats in need.

Here is a personal message from the President of the SPCA KK - Mohammad Iskandar Shah Ali:

"The SPCA of Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia extends it most heartfelt and sincere appreciation to IAPWA. The collaborative work carried out by IAPWA here over the past year has had a tremendous effect as it not only gave the animals we rescued hope but it also did the same for the members of SPCA (KK). The funding has helped ;jump start' our rescue activities and added a level of legitimacy to our plight by having an international partner. Our partnership also gave the Government agencies and their Ministers in charge the assurance that we are not a 'short term' NGO and that we are here to make a difference. We look forward to many more years of working together!"

The following message came from Faridah Malai who is the secretary of the SPCA KK:

"Animal welfare is new to Sabahans. The creation of public awareness to prevent unwanted breeding, overpopulation and cruelty to animals has only just begun. It is definetely a long but continous journey. The arrival of IAPWA on the scene enabled this journey to shift into fast track. I wish to express and record my sincere thanks and appreciation to IAPWA in general and to the founders, Nicky and Lynsey in particular, for the financial assistance, understanding, encouragement and moral support. Their tireless effort to make a difference is just remarkable. I look forward to your continued support."
