What are IAPWA Challenges?

As you may know, IAPWA started in Borneo in 2009 and ever since then we have worked relentlessly toward creating a better future for all animals. We were able to end the inhumane methods of population control in 2014, while neutering thousands of cats and dogs every year. We also changed legislation in Borneo to prohibit the human consumption of dog and cat meat, to make animal fighting illegal and to increase penalties for animal cruelty.

Indeed, we got great results – not just in Borneo, but also in Nepal, Romania, Penang, Zambia and South Africa. However, we want to do so much more and for that we need your help!

The IAPWA Challenges are a fundraising programme meant to build engagement for IAPWA projects, while at the same time giving you a truly one of a kind experience.

We have IAPWA Challenges available in 30 different countries, including the UK, with a choice of over 100 departure dates! Challenges range from 1 to 18 days in duration and there are a range of itineraries available for different levels of difficulty.

Raising money for IAPWA comes with amazing perks – read on and you’ll see!

How does it work?

We’re planning once in a lifetime adventures for you, with activities such as climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, white water rafting, sleeping out in the rainforest or visiting the largest Orangutan Sanctuary in the world; you’ll also get a chance to meet our team and the animals we care for so that you can see first-hand what difference your involvement makes. Best of all, if you raise the sponsorship amount you go for free whilst raising much needed funds to help the animals you’ll be meeting.

In a nutshell:

  • You will need to raise money for IAPWA
  • Part of the money you raise will cover your costs for the trip
  • Once you raise all the necessary funds, all you have to do is pack your bags – Footloose and IAPWA will ensure an amazing experience for you
