If you've ever wanted to do a parachute jump, here's your chance. We're looking for hundreds of adventurous volunteers to make a fundraising parachute jump and if you raise enough in sponsorship you get to jump for FREE! There are three types of jump available - an 'Accelerated FreeFall' where you can experience the thrill of skydiving solo from up to 12,000 feet, a 'Tandem Skydive' from 10,000 ft attached to a professional instructor and a 'Static Line' jump which is performed solo from up to 3,000 feet. You can jump from anyone of over twenty British Parachute Association approved airfields across the UK and no experience is necessary as all training is given. All you need to do is raise a minimum of £360 and this experience will be FREE, plus you will be helping us to take an extra step forward to prevent animal cruelty. UK CYCLE CHALLENGE

For the cycling enthusiasts, you can choose from either the 50km route or the BIG 100km route. Both are circular and start and finish at Coate Water Country Park near Swindon. This peaceful park is just 5 minutes from the M5, convenient to the town and on the edge of some of the most glorious and rolling countryside in Britain. The routes are mixed terrain and mountain bikes are essential as there are plenty of muddy patches and puddles. Most of the routes are on country lanes and undulate throughout, making for a varied and enjoyable ride in spectacular scenery. This event is challenging so good preparation is essential. If you are interested in completing this challenge to raise funds for animals in need, email us to register your interest at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . The cost of the event is £65 for the 100km route and £55 for the 50km route and includes the same event assistance as the walking challenge. All funds raised over and above this will be used for the benefit of companion animals.

RUN FOR IAPWA

If you'd prefer to run for animals, there are many races throughout the UK and overseas ranging from 5k fun runs to full marathons. Why not join the IAPWA team and run the Edinburgh Marathon in May 2010. Our director and co-founder Nicky Stevens completed this race in 2008 and loved every second!! With the right level of committment and bags of enthusiasm, even non runners can be athletes for the day and we'd be happy to share our experiences with you and help you to train for the event!! Please email us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it for details of races in your area and to register your interest in joining our fundraising team.
