HINTS AND TIPS
Once you've chosen how you want to fundraise, here are some hints and tips to ensure you have a successful event.

- Make sure the event is legal and apply for permission from the relevant parties if neccesary
- Ensure that your ideas are going to be safe for you and everyone involved
- Consider whether your plans falls in line with the objectives of an animal welfare charity. If you're unsure, please contact us and we'll be happy to advise you
- Choose the date and time of your event, ensuring you have plenty of time to organise everything
- Decide whether you need to enlist the help of friends and family
- Make a list of all tasks that need to be completed to ensure your event is successful
- Assign roles to everyone in your team
- Publicise your event by telling all of your friends and family and ask everyone you know for support to keep you motivated
- Create your own sponsorship form or print off and use our example
- Decide who will be responsible for ownership of the money raised. Once this has been collected, please send the proceeds to us in the form of a cheque, made payable to IAPWA.
- Thank everyone who has taken part and enabled your event to be a great success
- Finally, sit back and feel extremely proud of yourself for raising much needed funds to prevent animal cruelty.
